Never confuse production with test again

SiteMark is a private browser extension that marks the websites you choose with ribbons, banners and outlines, so you always know where you are. It collects nothing and only runs on the sites you allow.

The playground needs JavaScript. Turn it on to try your own marks; until then, this is how the preview looks.

Why SiteMark

  • Unmistakable

Ribbons, banners, frames and outlines in colors you choose, so production never looks like test.

  • Simple

Add a URL pattern, pick a mark and you're done: mark a whole page or just the button that matters.

  • Private

No accounts, no tracking and no network requests, and SiteMark only runs on the websites you allow.

Private by design

SiteMark collects no data. Your site groups stay in your browser, and this website sets no cookies and loads nothing from anywhere else.

  • Open source

MIT-licensed and public on GitHub: the extension and this website, so anyone can check what SiteMark does.

  • No analytics

No accounts, trackers, crash reports or servers of its own. Nothing about you is collected.

  • Stays in your browser

Your site groups live in the extension's local storage and are never synced to a cloud account.

  • No network requests

No requests and no remote code. The one exception is the favicon tint: off by default, and it only loads the icon of the site you are on.
